Volunteer Organization

(VOCPRI)

The Volunteer Organization of CPRI (VOCPRI) raises funds to meet the special  needs and programming needs of children who are receiving Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) services.

VOCPRI provides many ongoing services to CPRI clients including, Oakwood Cottage (a 3-bedroom home providing free accommodation to visiting families), Clothes Closet (good quality used clothing for needy children) and much more.

In addition to these services, VOCPRI has undertaken many special projects since its incorporation in 1969. Some of the funds raised were used for an in-ground swimming pool, a wheelchair-accessible wading pool, playground facilities and equipment, hydrosound bathtub, to name a few.

Throughout the year, VOCPRI hosts special fundraising events that require additional volunteer support, such as Operation Bookmark and The Fashion Show.  Staff are encouraged to involve themselves with special initiatives and a call for volunteers occurs as needed.

VOCPRI is a registered charitable organization (Licence No. 89249 7249 RR0001). It has a Board of Directors which makes decisions regarding VOCPRI policy, fund-raising projects, and disbursements.
