Wait-times for education can be shortened considerably when interested staff and families ‘partner up’ with these existing bookings.  All groups advertised on our website to receive education from us have been approved for public advertisement, have agreed to ‘partner up’, and would be anticipating your call.

CPRI is now a member of the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN), a not-for-profit organization supporting provincial clinical, educational, and administrative telemedicine with a broad, secure and reliable videoconferencing network spanning the continuum of community health services.”  Brake Shop educational opportunities are available via OTN upon request.

No referrals to the Brake Shop are required to book (i.e. you do not need to be a client of the Brake Shop, or affiliated with a client of the Brake Shop, to book).

All educational opportunities are free of charge.

The CPRI Brake Shop Training Workshops are designed for the diagnostician and/or clinician wishing to increase professional competence in Tourette Syndrome, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Sensory Processing Dysfunction (SPD), and/or Disruptive Behaviour Disorders (Oppositional-Defiant Disorders (ODD) or ‘rage’).  A further topic includes how to conduct peer in-servicing in the school.

To reserve a workshop, you may download the Training Workshop Booking Form document and mail the completed form to the address given.  Alternatively, you can call our clinic secretary at (519) 858-2774 ext. 2025.

Workshops can be delivered anywhere in the world; however, only a limited number of workshops outside CPRI’s catchment will be booked each year.  Please contact our clinic secretary to discuss.

Following your attendance at one of our workshops, please complete the Personal/Professional Learning Contract to monitor how your own practice has been enhanced by attendance at this Training Workshop:

-Commit to a strategy in the space provided on the contract.

-Seal your contract in a stamped envelope return-addressed to you, and mail this package to our clinic (address on form).

-In two months time we will mail your return-addressed envelope back to you.  Read your commitment again.

-Rate how well you followed through on this strategy on the self-assessment scale at the bottom of the contract.

-Mail us your self-assessment ONLY (detach from your learning contract to retain your confidentiality).
